On September 30, 2025, the biggest stream on the internet ended with a haircut. Kai Cenat had spent 30 days running Mafiathon 3, a 24/7 subathon that made him the first streamer in Twitch history to pass one million active subscribers. Months earlier he made a promise: hit the million, and the locs he had been growing since he was 14 would come off, live.

What was Mafiathon 3?
Mafiathon 3 was Kai Cenat's third annual subathon, a 30-day continuous broadcast running through September 2025. Subscriber counts climbed past every record Twitch had, finishing above one million active subs. No streamer had done it before.
Who cut Kai Cenat's hair?
For the finale, the barber was LeBron James. He pulled up with his daughter Zhuri, gifted Kai a Lakers-colored Audemars Piguet and unreleased LeBron XXIIIs, then took the scissors as the chat crowned him LeBarber. Surrounded by the AMP crew and family, he started the cut while viewership hit numbers streaming had never seen. Kai sat in one of our barber capes, ten years of locs coming off one by one.

It happened in front of an audience no barbershop will ever match, and it ended the way Kai said it would a month earlier.
