The 2026 World Cup brought the biggest tournament on earth to America, and with it one of the best barber stories the game has ever produced. When Spain rolled into Dallas for their knockout match, Lamine Yamal sat down for a fresh cut in our España cape, and the clips went everywhere. The man behind the clippers: Bryan Guardado, the 22-year-old Dallas barber known on Instagram as nd.bryan.

Who cuts Lamine Yamal's hair?

The story starts years earlier. When Barcelona came through Dallas for a match, Guardado messaged several players offering his services. One responded: a 15-year-old named Lamine Yamal. He cut him then, and the work spoke for itself. Fast forward to 2026, and Yamal remembered. When Spain arrived for the World Cup, it was Yamal who reached out and asked Guardado to follow the team through the tournament and keep the squad right.

One answered DM, two World Cup squads

Guardado has cut Spain's players throughout their run, and the clips traveled so far that France came calling too, booking him before the semifinal in Dallas. One barber, one answered DM, and both teams in a World Cup semifinal sitting in his chair. Yamal even signed jerseys for him after a cut. That is what trust in this craft looks like at the highest level.

The España cape comes from our Fútbol Nations range of barber capes, built for exactly the kind of chair a national team sits in.
